Experience
Jonathan is a postdoctoral appointee and an Intelligence Community Postdoctoral Fellow. He comes to Sandia National Laboratories to research computational modeling and uncertainty quantification in the epistemic culture of intelligence analysis. This research involves working with intelligence analysts to understand their product and to introduce them to methods that will help them account for ambiguity and communicate uncertainty. Jonathan has research experience in non-probabilistic methods for verification and validation, structural health monitoring, Bayesian methods, and fault tree analysis. Jonathan has undergraduate and graduate civil engineering degrees from the University of Colorado-Boulder and the University of New Mexico respectively. His graduate research work was focused in two areas, fuzzy logic for system reliability and fuzzy systems theory for structural dynamic simulation.
